I started out as an archaeologist and art conservator (basically, a real-life Indiana Jones who also fixed priceless paintings). But then I took a giant leap into outer space — well, Australia's space sector anyway! Now I spend my days turning mind-bending science and technology into ideas that help shape Australia's future among the stars. Pretty cool, right?
When I'm not thinking about satellites, I'm dreaming up wild adventures for snails and other unlikely heroes. I believe that curiosity and creativity belong everywhere — in science labs, in art studios, and definitely in books!
At home, I'm mum to two awesome primary schoolers, and in my spare time I practise Japanese Jujitsu (so I'm basically a space scientist who can also do martial arts 🥋). Life is too short not to try everything!
I wrote this book because I want kids to know that the world is full of wonder — and that YOU don't have to fit into just one box. You can be a scientist AND an artist. An adventurer AND a bookworm. The sky is definitely not the limit. 🌟
